Business Ethics Guidelines

Good Business Practice's original Business Ethics Guidelines consist of  will provide a set of principles that are:

  • Guiding Principles for the Ethical Conduct of Business
  • Practical framework for policies and procedures
  • Self Assessment – evaluating how ethics are being embedded in your organisation

The Guiding Principles for the Ethical Conduct of Business are:

  • Positive
  • Practical
  • Aspirational

These are supported by full explanatory notes (including textual sources) that go into much greater depth and explain the concepts behind the principles more fully.

The explanatory notes also include examples of what ‘this means' in reality i.e. how does this translate into everyday workplace scenarios, making the principles very practical and understandable to all.

Self-Assessment

Good Business Practice provides self-assessment forms and, in turn, process the data and provide a statistical analysis of the company's performance based on the responses submitted.

This will allow your company to:

  • Identify any gaps between desired good practice and what is happening in reality, and subsequently provide suggested development actions
  • Monitor employees' understanding and perception of your company's values and culture
  • Evaluate how effectively you are communicating the values to you employees
  • Communicate the Guiding Principles for the Ethical Conduct of Business to existing and new employees
  • Allow for clear communication to employees and stakeholders of your ethical performance
  • Assess any necessary training requirements in this area
  • Assist in reviewing and, if necessary, updating the Guiding Principles for the Ethical Conduct of Business
  • Design and implement bespoke workshops on request (at additional cost)
